TL1100 Wireless Dimmer Family

This family is composed of:

  • TL1101 - 3 light master
  • TL1102 - 3 light slave
  • TL1103 - 6 light master
  • TL1104 - 6 light slave

They are designed to drive a limited number of lights that change quickly. Their main application is in RGB dimming, when a lamp is able to change its colour. They can also be used in applications using independent lights, changing their intensity independently.

The master units have analogue inputs that take a voltage between 0 and 10 volts. They are programmable so they work with two standards, 0V = minimum or 1V = minimum.

These units work in a 1 to 1 or a 1 to 2 configuration, as depicted in these diagrams:

Fig 1. One TL1103 driving six lights using one TL1104. The lights marked as A are contoled by the A inputs. The lights marked as B ar controlled by the B inputs.

Fig 2. One TL1103 driving six lights using two TL1102. The lights marked as A are contoled by the A inputs. The lights marked as B ar controlled by the B inputs.
If your application needs to control a huge number of lights that will not need to change often, then have a look at our TL1300 general purpose dimmer family that has a better range.

The TL1100 family can also be used in a network with more units:

Master Devices

The master units have analogue inputs measuring the voltage that sets the lights intensity. They have 1 or 2 channels consisting of 3 analogue inputs. Each channel can set the color and intensity of a RGB lamp or the intensity of 3 independent lights.

Device Channels Applications Notes
TL1101 1 channel (3 analogue inputs) Dimmer can control 1x TL1102
TL1103 2 channels (6 analogue inputs) Dimmer can control 2x TL1102 or 1x TL1104

Slave Devices

The slave devices receive the measured voltage in the master units and produce the appropiate power or waveform to drive the load. They are equipped with different output stages to drive different kind of loads. Units intended for lighting will interpolate intermediate values when their input changes, ramping smoothly between values.

Device Channels/outputs Applications Notes
TL1102A 1 channel (3 outpots) MOSFET PWM, 1V-10V DC, 0V-10V DC Dimmable flourescent lights or any kind of 0V-10V or 1V-10V equipment. Needs to be connected to a dimmanble ballast.
TL1102T 1 channels(3 outputs), Triac 240VAC, upto 3x3800VA Dimmable incandescent or halogen lights, acting on the transformer primary on the halogen lights case. Generally can be used instead an usual dimmer.
